Characters Han Solo - Harrison Ford. Han Solo was born on Corellia, he was a hot shot teenage swoop racer and when he was old enough he enrolled in the Imperial Academy, but due to his stubborn nature he didn't get on well. He soon got discharged from the Imperial Navy because he interfered with some slavers who were mistreating a Wookie. The Wookie Chewbacca has stayed by Solo's side ever since, at first he wanted to pay Solo back but then he became a partner and friend. Early on in his life Solo won the Corellian Light Freighter, 'The Millennium Falcon', from the gambler and his friend Lando Calrissian. Although the ship was virtually a wreck, Solo and Chewbacca modified it into one of the fastest ships in the galaxy. He then took the questionable life of taking on mercenary jobs and running regular spice smuggling routes for criminal lords such as Jabba The Hutt. On one of these trips Solo was betrayed by an imperial customs officer and had to dump his load before being boarded. To try and repay Jabba he agreed to take some passengers to Alderaan (Ben Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and R2-D2). Within little time Solo found himself in the heart of the Rebellion. He helped rescue Princess Leia from a prison cell on the Death Star. He then said he was leaving to pay off Jabba, but returned just in time to provide cover while Luke Skywalker fired two proton torpedoes at the Death Star destroying it. Solo spent the next three years helping the Alliance, when he decided to go to Tanooine to pay back Jabba it was too late and every bounty hunter in the galaxy was looking for him. When the Empire discovered the Alliance's hidden base on the planet Hoth and lunched an attack, Solo only just managed to escape with the Princess onboard. Even though Solo managed to escape the Imperials Boba Fett tracked him to Cloud City, where Solo thought he was safe with his old friend Lando. Boba Fett told the empire of their location and they were all captured, but Vader had no use for them except to attract their friend Luke Skywalker in a trap. Solo was placed in carbonite by Vader and then gave him to the bounty hunter. Skywalker managed to escape, and Solo's friends including Lando refused to abandon him, so a few months later they set a plan in motion to rescue him. In the rescue attempt Jabba and most of his henchmen were killed. Soon after Solo led an attack on the forest moon of Endor to destroy a defensive shield that protected the second Death Star. With the help of the native Ewoks the attack succeeded. Solo then revealed openly his true love for Princess Leia, especially once he had found out that Luke was her twin brother. He and Leia went to the planet of Dathomir which Solo won in a sabacc game, and married. Soon after they had three children, twins Jaina and Jacen, and the younger Anakin, who was named after Leia farther who in his dying moments renounced the dark side. All of their children were strong with the force. |
