Princess Leia Organa Solo - Carrie Fisher

Princess Leia's adventures started from the start of her life, she was separated from her mother she barely new, a father she considered her worst enemy and a twin brother she didn't know exsisted. She was given to the Viceroy and First chairman of the Planet Alderaan, Bail Organa. Raised as his daugther, she grew up doted on by three gossipy aunts and a best friend named Winter. From a young age the brown haired, brown eyed Leia was a mavarick and a bit of a tomboy. She became the youngest senator in galactic history, even as the self-proclaimed Emperor Palpatine committed an increasing number of atrocities.

Bail Organa secretly became one of the main driving forces of the Rebel Alliance, and Leia became one of the most outspoken voices in the Senate, opposing new Imperial policies. Behind her official political duties, she was involved in secret missions for the Rebels, using her her consular ship, the Tantive IV. Near Tatooine, on a mission to recruit the Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi, she and her ship were captured by the Star Desroyer Devastator. Leia managed to place top secret plans for the Imperial Death Star battle station into an R2 astromech droid. The droid, R2-D2, then left the ship with his counterpart, the droid C-3PO, fleeing aboard an escape pod.

Leia herself was captured by the menacing Darth Vader, it would be years before either knew new of the relationship that bound the two. Taken aboard the Death Star, Leia was able to block interrogation probes, but the battle station's com mander, Grand Moff Tarkin, threatened to destroy Leia's home planet of Alderaan-home to her farther and and billions of other residents-if she didn't reveal the site of the secret Rebel base. Giving in she named Dantooine, a lie that Tarkin believed, but he still ordered Alderaan to be destroyed anyway. It was obliterated before her, and she was then scheduled for execution.

She was rescued by Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and Chewbacca, who found themselves trapped on the huge battle station. They all managed to escape except for Obi Wan, who sacrificed his mortal existance in a lightsaber dual with Darth Vader. Using the stolen Death Star plans, the Rebels on Yavin 4 plotted to destroy it, and Skywalker, with Solo's help, succeeded in firing proton torpedoes at the station's one vulnerable spot.

After the battle of Yavin, Leia became a full time member of the Alliance, often acting as a diplomat to get other worlds to join the fight against the Empire. Luke, Han, Chewbacca and the two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO became a second family to her, helping ease some of the shock and pain left by the destruction of Alderaan. She encountered Vader once again on the planet Mimban, where he badly wounded her with his lightsaber. Luke managed to drive Vader off and help heal Leia with help from the powers of the Kaiburr crystal.

Leia's feeling for Luke became more tender, and her feelings for Han set off romantic sparks. She evacuated Echo Base of Hoth in Solo's Millennium Falcon, accompanying him to Cloud City above Bespin. But Han's old gambling partner was forced to betray them to Darth Vader, who was setting a trap for Skywalker. Leia finally declared 'I love you' to Han as he was forced into a carbonite-freezing chamber.'I know' he replied. Leia and the others were forced to flee, and helped rescue Luke, who narrowly escaped being killed by Vader in a lightsaber dual.

Months later, Leia entered the palace of Jabba the Hutt in the disguise of the bounty hunter Boushh. She had Chewbacca in tow. She amnaged to free Han from the carbonite, but Jabba dicovered her and forced her to join his court as a inprisoned dancer. She eventually killed Jabba with the same chains tht held her. Skywalker triggered a rescue rescue that resulted in Jabba's sailing barge being destroyed along with many of his henchmen.

Leia and Han, along with Chewie, Luke and the two droids then led an attack on the forest moon of Endor with a mission to destroy the shield generator that powered the shield protecting the second Death Star. She used all her skills to convice a native tribe of Ewoks to help them complete their mission. Then Luke told Leia that he was her twin sister and that the evil Darth Vader was their father. Leia then realised that many skills had been down to untrained Jedi powers.

Over the next few years she became the Rebel Alliances and The New Repulic's main ambassador.

Leia then became a part of the Provisional Counsel with help from the leader and former Mon Mothma. Leia relation ship Han Solo came to an end when a hansome prince proposed to her. Han then kidnapped Leia and took her to Dathomir. Despite the obvious problems Leia decided that Han was the man for her and they married soon after.

Leia now pregnant with twins became the target of an assination attempt by Noghri, a plan engineered by Grand Admiral Thrawn, but the plot was foiled and Leia was then able to get the Noghri to renounce the Empire and join the New Republic. In the comming months Leia gave birth to twins Jancen and Jaina, children who were strong with the force. Leia herself found time to train in the force with Luke, and gained many basic skilled.

Pregnant again Leia had a crisis, her brother seamed to have turned to the Dark side of the force, thanks to teachings by the cloned Emperor Palpatine. He tried to corrupt Leia aswell but she managed to escape with the Emperors Jedi Holocron. Later she rejoined Luke and together them overcame the Emoperors dark powers. Han and Leia third cchild was named Anakin, after the great Jedi her father once had been.

Over the coming years Leia got more and more involved in the political side of her life, but also made time to save several crisis including saving Han and getting her children into Lukes Jedi Academy.
